Affected by the Encounter

My name is Robin and I'm 38 years old. During 1997 I moved from the big city to the country. On July 4th, 1997 I had my first "encounter". My boyfriend and I were out walking in the large pasture across the road from my place at around 11:00 p.m. and noticed several crafts hovering far overhead. We assumed they were helicopters although they made no noise. As we continued our walk toward the top of the hill a rather large object appeared out of nowhere and zoomed across the pasture from south to north then disappeared just as suddenly. It happened so fast I questioned whether we had really just seen this happen. We both agreed it did happen. The object was approx. 3 ft. in diameter, round, flashing, white light with smaller lights of blue and red on the top and bottom and moving at a very high rate of speed. (No it was not a police car, remember, we were out in the middle of nowhere with just grass, trees and some barbed wire fencing).

After this experience, nothing significant happened until October of 1998. I was outside one evening, stargazing of course, and this orange ball of light about the size of a basketball came into the pasture right across the road from my house the same pasture where we saw the big rolling light only this orange light seemed to be attached to a smaller yellowish-white light. I don't know what they were attached with, but the smaller light was below the orange ball and seemed to be illuminating the underside of the orange ball. At first I got scared and ran into the house. Then I peeked out the door and it was still there just on the other side of the fence. I found my courage (or stupidity - for all it's worth) and went back outside. I walked to the road and when I reached the middle of the road, the object began tracking me. When I went forward, it went backward, I'd go left, it would follow me this went on for a long time I'd say about 4 hours (how stupid to do this for four hours). But that's me, anyway, this happened the following two nights same scenario, then it was gone. I've tried rationalizing that it was a weather balloon but I know it wasn't.

Several nights later I wandered over the fence to the pasture again thinking the orange ball might come back but no sign of it, so I continued my walk, three of my dogs were with me and we all saw it about the same time. We were walking beneath a very large, old oak tree and there on a limb sat a light. It was a simple white light, no bigger than a baseball. The dogs barked, I ran for the house and the light took off in the opposite direction. I'm not finished yet...

I didn't realize how much there was to all this until now trying to write it all down. Several nights later I was about to go to sleep on the couch. As I reached to turn off the light, a shadow was in my living room like a person and a shadow, but without the person just the shadow. He walked out my front door and I've never seen him again. Unlike the other incidents, I was not the least bit afraid and at the time didn't even consider it to be out of the ordinary. As I recall, I went right to sleep. Only a few days later did I remember what happened, and how strange it was that the dogs continued sleeping while this shadow lurked around my living room and I not the least bit afraid.

Still not finished. On my birthday the next year I was moving a dead potted plant outside. When I bent over to pick it up one of the sticks poked through my right cornea, nearly blinding me in my right eye. I had two surgery's to remove wood from my eye and another to remove scar tissue build-up. Needless to say I had to wear glasses for the first time in my life and hated every minute of it. Going from 20/20 to 20/50 was a less than rewarding experience. I thought a lot about how I had taken my great eyesight for granted all these years and now it was gone. I was in agony. Then, you guessed it, one night I was outside stargazing in my glasses and noticed all these lights overhead. There were hundreds of them very far away but they were all shining their lights toward me. I knew I was supposed to take my glasses off and did so, soon after one of those lights hit me in the right eye sort of a laser effect like those I've seen on those radial keratotomy (or whatever they're called) commercials. Immediately I saw a perfectly round circle of light go from my eye back up to the light in the sky. Over the next few days, I began having trouble seeing with my glasses and went back to the eye doctor. He rechecked my vision and said I had somehow recovered the vision in my right eye and now have 20/15 vision. And it is still 20/15 today. Go figure. It had to be God, and if it wasn't I'm giving him credit for it anyway!

There have been a few other incidents experienced in the presence of other people, such as lights shining through the ceiling (literally), high frequency buzzing for hours at a time (almost drive you crazy at times because it seemed so loud). Oh, and the lights and pictures coming through the unplugged television set that only happened once.

Okay, I'm finished now. You can take it for what it's worth. I really don't know who is responsible for all of these events, but I do believe my life has been enriched and greatly changed by these experiences and they have definitely brought me closer to God.
