More Sightings At Borehamwood

Personal assistant Sue Carpenter is not the only person to have seen a ghost at Borehamwood's Gate Studio.

Steve Oake, who does maintenance at the 1928 studio building, saw a shadowy figure out of the corner of his eye one morning.

Mr Oake described the sighting at the end of last year: "I was working on the floor looking up at the cinema screen and I saw someone, out of the corner of my eye, walk up the gangway and go behind some piles of foam. Usually the person comes out the other side, but nobody came out. I went to look and there was nobody there."

Simon Jones, who works at the studio, also had a similar experience with Dave Blake, who used to work at the studio, according to Mr Oake and another former Gate worker Brian King.

Mr Jones and Mr Blake were reportedly locking up late one night when they saw a figure move from one corner of the building and exit through a doorway. Mr Oake said: "Simon locked up pretty quickly."

According to Mr Oake, who keeps an open mind about ghosts, two ghosts are supposed to haunt the Gate: a make-up artist who reportedly committed suicide in one of the offices, and a worker who fell from one of the roof walkways in the room where cinema screens are made.

Ms Carpenter, and another female employee, reported seeing a ghost of man wearing 1920s clothing.
