2012 in Phi
A Russian mathematician published an odd paper. Sergey Smelyakov, professor of mathematics at Kharkov University (Ukraine) said that by applying Phi (1.6180339) he found that by calculating the cycles of solar activity and planetary orbits in the Phi spiral, the system seems to spiral in on itself on December 21, 2012. He describes this as a kind of time implosion or "point of bifurcation," reminiscent of Peter Russell's "White Hole in Time."
